Overview
Shiftcairn explores team shift handovers through a mobile experience built around a chronological handover feed with voice capture dock. A shift-handover app that turns voice updates into reviewable actions and source-linked team digests. The proposed journey connects handover feed, speak an update, ask the shift, review and share. Four original phone showcases establish the visual direction, while the case study defines the supporting feature set and a proposed Java architecture.

Challenge
Shift teams need concise handovers that preserve the source notes and avoid silently assigning tasks. On a phone, the person also needs to capture information quickly, understand where an answer came from and return to the original material without navigating through a dense desktop interface.
- Keep handover feed and speak an update connected within a short mobile flow.
- Make voice-to-actions correctable when the model misreads the input.
- Explain priority suggestions through visible references or user-selected preferences.
- Keep changes, sharing and data retention under explicit user control.
Solution
The design begins with a chronological handover feed with voice capture dock, using large touch targets, short task sequences and contextual sheets. Extract proposed actions from a dictated update for review. Answer questions from selected team notes with timestamps. The companion views keep drafts, original material and accepted decisions distinct. A slate, sky blue and orange visual system gives this app its own character within the collection.
- Extract proposed actions from a dictated update for review.
- Answer questions from selected team notes with timestamps.
- Suggest which unresolved items to highlight and explain why.
- Create an editable summary before a user explicitly shares it.
